The Reverend Dr. Marian Barkley-Ellis is an ordained Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church and serves as an Associate Minister and Christian Education Director. She is an educator, advocate, and servant leader whose ministry is dedicated to spiritual formation, discipleship, and transformational leadership through Christian education. Dr. Ellis earned the Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) degree with a concentration in Radical Hospitality and the Promotion of Christian Principles, equipping leaders to cultivate welcoming, faith-filled communities that inspire spiritual transformation. She also holds a Master of Divinity from Turner Theological Seminary at the ITC and a Clinical Master of Social Work from FSU. In addition, she is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. Professionally, Dr. Ellis serves as a Resource Teacher with Leon County Schools, where she supports student achievement through inclusive educational practices, collaboration, and compassionate service.
